Computer rendering of next-gen BMW 7-series

AutoBild has released some new computer renderings of the next-gen BMW 7 series.  Supposedly it will be smaller and sleeker than the current gen, and have an easier-to-use iDrive system.  Click for the picture.

Spy shots of 2007 Mercedes CL

From Wheels24 comes this spy shot of the upcoming MB CL.  The new CL looks like it will take the fight to the BMW 6 series, while offering increased levels of luxury and refinement.  Read the article at Wheels24 for more images!

The disconnect between Popular Mechanics renderings and reality tends to be quite large, and I suspect this is a clear example, but it is nevertheless an interesting (if unlikely) idea of one way GM might try to "sex up" its mid-sized car lineup.

Lexus IS500 coupe rendering

Interesting rendering of the new Lexus IS500 coupe.  It clearly demonstrates many of the cues from the LF-S concept shown earlier this year, and seems to be a solid application of the new "L-Finesse" styling theme.  But can it compete with BMW's extremely popular 3-series coupe?

Germany's AutoBild magazine has made several new renderings of what the 2007 Mercedes C-class redesign will look like.  Although the accuracy of such renderings is often suspect, they're the closest thing we've got!  Click on for more pics from AutoBild.
